If you've been keeping up with the news lately, you may have read one or two articles about Lucky the elephant. Now, I especially keep up with the elephant news because to find things to blog about, I google "elephants" and look under the news tab. But if you are not familiar with Lucky just yet, I am about to tell you.
Hi everyone! Today's post is about donations (I know, I know. Don't click out yet.). If you live in America like myself, you're probably familiar with 4th of July parades (4th of July is an annual holiday celebrating independence.). In my city, there is one held outside my house and one thing people participate in is a marathon. Every year, I hold a lemonade stand outside for fun, and because the runners appreciate it. I usually make about $15-20, and so this year I am going to donate %95 of the proceeds to the elephants. I am really excited and because 4th of July is in less than a week, I think you should gather some of your friends (or do it by yourself) and make a lemonade stand for the elephants!! Even if you only make a couple dollars, you should donate it to the elephants. I haven't decided which organization I want to donate it to, but I was thinking SOS Elephants or Save the Elephants .
Hi everyone! A article has come up about a new elephant relocation happening in Malawi that is said to be "largest elephant relocation ever attempted and it needs to succeed to save their lives." (care2.com)
This is happening because there are too many elephants in the elephant reserves, which can be a bad thing, but in my opinion, also a wonderful thing! This means the elephant population is growing! :) On the other hand, this does make this elephant preserve the perfect place for illegal elephant poaching, which is the very last thing we want. Hi everyone! I recently wrote an article for Buzzfeed, check it out by clicking here!
If you've ever read an article from Buzzfeed, you may know that there are usually many .gifs involved. As I was researching .gifs, I found one that is now my favorite (but was to big to be in my article). Here it is: I found a website called SOS elephants (you can click it to go to that page)
and it featured an elephant orphanage! I am so happy this is being done, and you can donate at the end of this post. |
